Kenko Tokina compra Cokin

“This time Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. (President Toru Yamanaka) is that we have acquired Cokin square filter manufacturer in France for the photo.

Cokin is a manufacturer has developed the world’s first square filter system for photos, is a leading manufacturer, which exports products to more than 100 countries. In particular, the professional line of Cokin are in very high technical level.

The acquisition, the company while maintaining the independence Cokin it can reduce the financial burden, it is possible to buy raw materials and abundant. Also, we can build products manufacturing base in Europe, we will further accelerate global strategy. In the future, expand the standard of customer service, introducing innovative new products utilizing the technologies of both filters and photo accessories to market success, and contribute to the world for photo imaging.” Kenko Tokina Announcement (Google Translation from Japanese)

Cokin will become Cokin France S.A.S.U. and will remain indipendent of the new mothership. With the new acquisition, both companies will expand, increasing their presence in the photographic accessory market."
